This is a super detailed Super Affiliate System review.
Many online products have become the majority’s favorites. Others, though, only manage to draw mixed reactions from the public.
Such is the case with the affiliate marketing course known as the Super Affiliate System by John Crestani.
Is it just another high-tech scam method or a genuine guide to the promised land?
This is a product that has divided the online audience into two ranks with strong opinions. One side is stronger for it and the other side is as passionate against it.
Many on the later side would even give it a rating closer to a zero star if their opinions are sampled.
If you check out the facts, sentiment aside, both sides have cogent points to back up their feelings. It is my duty, however, to present an honest overview of everything about the course so you can decide for yourself the stand to take.
So I assume the dust has settled on your end and we can now have a thorough examination of the course to see if it works or not.
Our first question is…
What is the Super Affiliate System?
Commonly known as SAS for short, the Super Affiliate System is the course designed by a top affiliate marketer to come to the rescue of any who wants to learn how to build an online business around affiliate marketing through paid ads.
It is thus quite different from other courses that emphasize building an email list. That can be a bulky chunk of work so John’s focusing on paid ads is in my opinion a better approach.
The course has seen several adjustments since its first version was created in 2015. Its latest concept is the Super Affiliate System 3.0 and it’s quite different from the very first version that launched 5 years ago. Keep that aside though as we could have a whole review just for it.
With the course, you can learn many important aspects of affiliate marketing like presell pages, target data, ad swipes, the list goes on.
Resources you cannot do without as an affiliate marketer will also be given full attention to the likes of which are Facebook ads, Google Ads Youtube Ads, Native Ads and so on
But that doesn’t mean you’re getting all that you deserve as a learner. We’ll get to the pros and cons later but just have it in mind that the creator of the course, John Crestani, places too much emphasis on you, the learner promoting his products. That sore spot reflects throughout the learning experience.
For instance, throughout the training, the instructor encourages you to apply the knowledge you get to promote his course. Not too bad but if that seems offensive to you then you rather steer clear of it.
John Crestani – About the Course Instructor
John Crestani is a big name in the world of affiliate marketing and the creator of the Super Affiliate System.
Going over his life history, we find that he is a medical student turned affiliate marketer. His success is due to how he was able to run campaigns worth tens of thousands of US dollars (USD) by applying multiple traffic methods.
That’s why he’s popularly known as a Super Affiliate.
He hasn’t managed to win the hearts of all who know him though. Many people claim that the earliest parts of his career were soiled by fraudulent practices while some say that his courses underdeliver for their price tag.
While there may be a ring of truth in the first accusation—everybody can’t be wrong but this review is not intended to condemn or fight for personalities—I’d like us to focus on the courses’ strengths and weaknesses so you can make a well-informed decision.
Super Affiliate System Course Outline
The whole course spans six weeks equivalent to 50 hours of learning via detailed videos.
Different segments are called weeks rather than modules. This might be a rather confusing change from the conventional organization in modules but it makes sense.
John’s method of segmenting the lessons makes the course wear the overall of a mini-university. Now that can make you want to discipline yourself and get your schedules right.
Nevertheless, let’s see how these modules are arranged. Before that though, there is a welcome module where John goes body and soul into describing everything the Super Affiliate System is all about. Just kidding but he hopes you become his affiliate right away!
Switching over to the “weeks” convention, we have week 1 immediately following the welcome module.
Week 1 (The System Setup)
Here, John covers everything about the rudiments of affiliate marketing. In your first week of learning, the first thing you’ll learn is how to join an affiliate network. Here, Clickbank is what John likes using as a case study.
And if you’re wondering why it’s like that, keep in mind that Clickbank has a great variety of products in just about any niche. You can call it a bank of products as the name suggests.
Another likely reason for John Crestani’s choice of Clickbank is that the platform has support for almost all local banks in almost every country. Besides new affiliates are automatically approved on Clickbank. For that, no hassle.
That explains why Clickbank is a good jump board to take off from.
Once you’ve learned that, the next thing is the order of steps you need to take to set up your affiliate business
Since you can’t do affiliate marketing without a website to advertise the products, you’ll be taught this as soon as you understand how to join an affiliate network.
Training on how to build funnels follows immediately after. There are two major ways to go about that and you’ll be exposed to them. They are the Clickfunnels method and the manual method.
Once you are done with that, a two-part session on setting up ads will be opened up to you. Here you’ll learn how to create effective Facebook ads campaigns.
The points just discussed are essential for starting paid advertising traffic. That’s not all though. We continue the journey in week 2
Week 2 (Google Ad Campaign Training)
If you are new to using paid ads in affiliate marketing, here is a quick expo: Google Ads is super important as it can sync your ads with specific keywords. That means your ads will show up once people type those keywords in their address bar.
However, John’s Crestani’s course doesn’t give a nearly complete lecture on this especially in the Google Ads Search Setup section of the module.
Only the basics of Google Ads like setting up a keyword search campaign, location targeting, device targeting, and ad split testing are covered.
Others like keyword match type explanation, auto bid vs manual bid settings, negative keyword explanations are completely left out.
Hence, you may need to take additional courses to cover up for those lapses. The price for John’s course is quite high so this is definitely a thumbs down.
Nevertheless, the other sides of Google Ads are adequately covered. The tutorials on Google Display Ads and AdWords Conversion Pixel Setup are packed with loads of value.
Up next is setting up Youtube Ads as covered in Week 3
Week 3 (YouTube Ads Setup)
I didn’t find anything disqualifying about the learning process here. The tutorials do not miss a single detail about setting up successful YouTube campaigns.
You’ll even get much useful information about setting up your own YouTube channel if you don’t have one.
Week 4 (Advanced Ad Tactics)
Beginning the 4th week, the course turns in the direction of exposing the secrets of persuasive ads.
Ads play on people’s minds and emotions so it is no wonder that we are seeing topics like “speaking to the reptile brain” and “how to hack people’s trust” in the module.
That’s not all. Topics like copywriting and ad compliance are also addressed in detail.
The only spoiler to this module is that the videos are rather short, especially those on copywriting. That might not mean much though as copywriting is more of practice than lectures.
Week 5 (Presell Pages and Scaling)
Tutorials on presell pages are so important that any course that doesn’t offer them is simply not worth going for.
So it’s a good thing that we are finding it here. You’ll like how John provides presell pages templates and even shows you how to split-test presell pages.
Week 6 (Product Selection)
This is where John teaches about finding the right niche, what products to sell and so on.
So as a beginner affiliate, you might not have an idea of what niche to take off from. That would be laid to rest as well.
Resource Centre
This is not a proper module in itself, but as the name suggests, this section contains all the resources you need to start applying the knowledge you’ve gotten.
For example, you already know how to set up Google Ads, YouTube Ads and Facebook Ads from weeks two and three. In the resource centre, there is a targeting data tab where you learn exactly which people to target as well as what pages and communities (on Facebook) to target.
You also get in the resource centre the ads you are going to use (they are in the ad swipe tab). They’ve all been made ready only waiting to be used.
Other assistants that you’ll enjoy include ready-made presell pages, the affiliate networks to use such as Clickbank that we’ve discussed earlier, plus advertising networks and legal resources.
All of that means you’re not left stranded in any way. You will have all you need to hit the ground running.
Super Affiliate System Community
This is in the form of a Facebook group organized and supervised by John and his assistants.
The Facebook community is there to bring students of the course together and as such can only be accessed when you buy the course.
Of course, you’ll be asked some questions before you are allowed in but once you’re in there, no one’s chasing you out. You can contribute, ask questions and receive valuable feedback if you’re ever stuck in an aspect of the course.
Super Affiliate System Support
The Super Affiliate System has a really nice support system.
Their support team is always available 24/7 and often responds fast to inquiries. You can request a live chat or simply send them an email.
Another excellent part of the support system is the weekly call. This allows you to speak with John Crestani himself every week and lay bare any issues you might be having with the system.
How Much Does the Super Affiliate System (SAS) Cost?
The Super Affiliate System Course is not soft on the budget. At $997, it’s one of the most expensive courses out there.
The course can be bought once for that price or you can choose to make three payments until you balance up the fee. It’s a one-time payment that opens up the course to you for life.
There are certainly warning signs here. For one thing, even after finishing all the modules, you might still need to run around for other courses to address those areas where the SAS is patchy on or completely left out.
The second catch to it is that it isn’t exactly beginner-friendly. As a newbie, be informed that even after saving nearly a thousand dollars for the course alone, you will still run the gamut of saving up for the ads you will need to run, that is, aside from the in-house ads the course provides.
Mention of the course evokes mixed feelings in people. To be frank, it has as many good sides as bad sides. I’ll go on to mention what I like about it and what is not so appetizing about it.
What I Like About Super Affiliate System – Pros
Plenty of Resources
I must admit that John equips you to practicalize what he does teach you. That is clear enough from the resource centre that backs up everything he teaches you about running ads and so on.
No Email List Required
The fact that you don’t have to worry about an email list is also one of the strongest points of the course. Instead, it’s strictly on paid ads.
Online Community
There is an online community where you can interact with others and get help for yourself.
Develops Traffic Skills
Essential traffic skills are taught that can be useful when you’re running a fully-fledged online business
Earn as You Learn
The way the Super Affiliate System is organized makes it easy for you to earn as you learn if you catch up fast.
Excellent Support System
While we can consider it our birthright to have such quality of support given the high price tag, we can be grateful it’s that good nonetheless.
What I Don’t Like About SAS – Cons
Omission of Important Aspects
First things first, John’s Super Affiliate System is not as complete as it should be. Remember the aspects of Google Ads that are left out in the module? That detracts a lot from the course.
He should have found a way of including them even though he had noble intentions of not overwhelming his students. Those aspects are essential.
Might be Too Expensive for Newbies to Affiliate Marketing
The high price is enough to dis-organize modest savings. If you even manage to save enough for the course, then that is great. Or if you are willing and have the money, then it might not be a downside for you.
But then, ensure you’re not using your last penny for a course.
Too Few Practical Examples
Another downside is that not many niches and affiliate programs are used as examples on SAS. It’s just one niche and one affiliate program.
Self-Promotional
The whole course seems to be part of John’s strategy of promoting the course itself. In everything you are given from the modules to the resource centre, much emphasis is given to starting with selling his course to others.
Unrealistic in Certain Areas
Somewhere in his sales page or promotional content, John boasts that he will teach you how to start running ads with just $5. Now don’t gulp that in.
Ads guzzle up money fast depending on the calibre of the product you are promoting. Be prepared to save up a reasonable amount if you’re thinking of running paid ads.
Additionally, be wary of programs in the course flaunting “done for you” systems in place. When it comes to online businesses, your work can never be completely done for you. There is always a lot of work for you to do.
Bad Cliches
They are littered everywhere in the webinar and promotional content. And I mean suggestive content. At some point, you’ll start wondering if the webinar was a rap music video.
FAQs About John Crestani Super Affiliate System Review
Are People Successful With John Crestani’s Course?
Honestly, this is a controversial question at best. Actually, many of the success stories are from people who sold the Super Affiliate System Course by applying what the course taught.
Other success stories are from people who had experience in affiliate marketing before.
While there are also several honest success stories about the course, those testimonials might not represent the true picture. Anyways, even with the best tutorials, it all boils down to the amount of work you put in.
So let’s take the answer to the above question as a yes and no.
How Much is The Super Affiliate System?
The SAS course goes for $997. John claims that there is a $4000 coupon that lessens the price drastically but who would even pay $4997 in the first place?
That is just a logic and strategy most of the course creators use to compel others to buy their product.
So that doesn’t break the deal anyway as the course price is quite moderate when compared to other affiliate marketing courses on the internet.
There are affiliate marketing courses that cross the $2000 mark, so $997 sounds like a fair deal.
You don’t have to pay the $997 at once. John Crestani allows split payment. You can pay once or in 3 batches of $397.
Alternatives to Super Affiliate System
There is no doubt that John Crestani’s course wears a checkered shirt. High price tag, missing details, and unreliable testimonials are just some of the repelling factors to consider.
If after weighing the pros and cons, you feel it’s not for you, you can handpick from any of the alternatives below:
- The Authority Site System
- The Affiliate Lab
- Income School’s Project 24
- Passive Income Geek
In Conclusion
Yeah, we’ve finally done justice to the question of whether or not the Super Affiliate System is a scam and if it is the best out there.
First of all, it’s no scam. But it’s not the best thing ever either. With a lofty price of almost a thousand dollars and subtle self-marketing, you may want to look elsewhere.
On the other hand, such attractions as a resource centre that equips you to take off, the provision to earn as you learn by selling the course and a fast response support system may compel you to stay.
It’s all up to you. You are presented with two worlds. How much of one can you afford to miss while benefiting from the other?
From my own perspective, the course is worth it for beginners who want to get their feet wet in affiliate marketing.
